A note from a current student
Coming into this, I had the same reservation I think most students have. I wondered if it was going to be another program built to take your money and hand you a checklist. It's not. From the first conversation, it was clear these are surgeons and mentors who genuinely care whether you match.
The availability is what I noticed first. My mentors answer messages at all hours, take time out of their day to hop on calls, and actively work on my behalf, making introductions, sending emails, and vouching for me to people I'd never get in front of on my own. All I ever wanted was a chance to prove myself to the people who matter, and this program has given me the resources to do exactly that.
But the strategy is what makes this program different. They've helped me lock in rotation dates, plan letters of recommendation, identify the right contacts at every program of interest, and ultimately build a real attack plan for my application. Trying to figure all of that out on your own is nearly impossible. Having a team of surgeons doing it with you is the difference.
The connections go deeper than I expected, too. There's a network of residents at programs across the country who give honest feedback on where you stand and what matters most at each place. And when my mentors reach out on my behalf, the people on the other end actually listen, because they trust the surgeons running this program.
If you're serious about orthopaedics, this is the team you want behind you.
